Build a Community Business ✨

For ambitious, community-driven online business leaders…

Scale a Community Business You Love

We are currently closed to new members, fill out the application below and we’ll let you know as soon as we open up!

You are a thoughtful, ambitious coach, online teacher, or membership leader...

who wants to grow a business that centers community in your own nerdy way...

and needs a clear roadmap, ongoing support, and friends for the journey.

There’s a process to building a values-aligned community business that needs less and less of your time.

We’ve taken our hands-on experience in helping online business founders scale sustainable community businesses and put it into BACB.

You’ll learn and implement the strategies that have worked for our business and for our clients.

Step 1 • Solidify a Community Offer

Clarify what you want from your business, and see what’s working and what’s not. Then commit to an offer that can grow with you long-term.

Step 2 • Build a Growth Process

Build a marketing and sales process appropriate for selling community. Find a growth process that plays to your strengths and uniquely works for your offer.

Step 3 • Reliable Revenue

Land on a repeatable, compounding process that grows your revenue without increasing stress or the number of hours you have to work.

What you’ll learn

All the content in the program is divided into the 5 pillars of building a community business. In Growth Lab, we use these pillars to focus on setting a foundation for long-term growth.

LEADERSHIP
Solidify your community values, growth mindset and level up.

BUSINESS MODEL
Stress test your current business model, explore new ways to structure, and position your offer for long-term growth.

COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE
Build an experience that doesn’t rely on you. Introduce member leadership, codify your culture, and find scalable structures that work for you.

SALES & MARKETING
Explore your growth channels, build a marketing process that works long-term, landing pages, email sequences, and partnerships.

OPERATIONS
Once you get your growth engine going, you’ll outgrow your current systems. We’ll help you find the right tools, set up the right automations, and hire a team when you’re ready.

Grow your own way

Growth doesn’t have to look a certain way.

If you hate social media, you don’t have to make that the center of your strategy. If you don’t yet have hundreds of members, member referrals don’t have to play a role in how you grow. If writing stresses you out, you don’t have to start a Substack.

There are many ways to successfully and sustainably grow a community. You don’t have to do any one strategy.

You just have to find the one that feels good to you, and consistently brings you new members.

This community is your path to building a friendly place on the internet where your members are excited to show up.

"What I didn't know at the time was just how much great information, how many great people, how many amazing resources have been packed inside this course and this community.”

Lis Best, Founder of Girls Club Collective

“After running a free Facebook Group for 7 years with almost 5000 members, we wanted to explore if there was a way we could transition from a community to a community business. We had launched our community 2 months prior to joining but needed guidance (and maybe confidence) that we were headed in the right direction.

Tatiana is truly an expert in this space. I appreciated the opportunity to join Office Hours sessions to get curated support from Tatiana and the community on my questions.

We have invested more resources into our paid membership and reached a big milestone of surpassing 100 members shortly after our launch. We've also experimented with running different formats of events (like a town hall) and leveraging different platforms for marketing (like Instagram Live) thanks to the community and different modules and expert sessions.

After all of us have been socially isolated in one way or another over the past 2 years, community is more important than ever. No matter where you are in your journey, BACB is there to help you every step of the way, from guest speakers to learning from your peers to modules that walk you through the framework of how to business your community and monetize it in a way that helps you support even more people."

Tiffany Yu, Founder of Diversability

“Working with Tatiana has revolutionized my business.

Before her coaching, I had put together one online course and wanted to create a community feel, but I was doing everything by hand in inefficient ways. The work was endless and the profit meager.

One year later, I have created 4 more successful online courses and a thriving online community with hundreds of members who interact regularly.”

Woniya Thibeault, Founder of Buckskin Revolution

“Build a Community Business is brilliant hands-on learning experience and Tatiana is a fabulous instructor and mentor.

I was beta testing a community when I took the course, transitioning it from free to paid, making marketing, technology, and content decisions every day, and iterating new features every week. It was overwhelming!

Tatiana provided a framework that grounded every step and connected every piece of the community building (and growing!) process. Her content and insights are unparalleled in this emergent industry.”

Ainsley Brittain, Director of Community at MBS.works

“BACB has provided me with much-needed direction and accountability in my community-building journey.

Tatiana's style is both refreshing and intentional, steering away from unnecessary rush and ensuring a focused approach. What sets BACB apart is its commitment to genuine learning and development – it's not just a program; it's a true learning, developing, and interactive community designed for tangible results.

Tatiana's passion has played a pivotal role in shaping my own community, and the supportive atmosphere within the BACB community has fueled my confidence in creating a program that not only shines but is an enhancement to my community the Purpose Den.

The additional support from Rachel and my accountability pod has been invaluable. This unique blend of guidance, passion, and interactive community support makes BACB an indispensable resource for anyone looking to build a thriving and meaningful community business..”

Pam Drzewiecki, Founder of Purpose Den

Hi! I'm Tatiana.

COMMUNITY STRATEGIST • BUSINESS COACH • CIRCLE EXPERT

When I was 10 my family immigrated to a suburb of NYC from a small town in Brazil. I didn't know anyone and didn't speak English. I remember feeling a deep need to belong in this new place and to find a way to be accepted.

That period of my life shaped who I am and what I care about.

Since then, everything I've done has somehow been related to connecting people. When I built out international sales territories, I did it by building deep 1:1 relationships. When I led the software teams, I prioritized building community within the team, with our users and through the product we built. In running my own community business, I constantly find new ways to help people find each other and connect.

Why am I telling you this?

Because your unique approach to belonging and connection has also already been showing up in your life. The things that make you weird, the experiences that only you can claim, and what you see clearly that everyone else is confused about... those things really matter!

I believe you should build your community business in a way that feels just right and works for YOU.

I have 10+ years of experience building communities online and off. I've personally guided dozens of community founders in launching and sustaining profitable community businesses. And that's what I'd love to help you do too.

Love from our friends and community…

"One of my favorite things about the community is how human and how helpful it is...”

FAQs

  • BACB is intended to give you the skills necessary to grow a community business. That includes auditing your community experience, experimenting and validating new business models, choosing the right tools, and becoming a better leader.

What makes this a unique experience is that you'll be learning practical skills while experiencing them within a community yourself. The intention is to help you not just learn but be able to experience what you're learning with the support and friendship of fellow community builders.

  • Everything is designed to meet you where you are. We aim for the time spent in this program to be worth your time in the connection, learnings, and revenue that will result in your business.

During our 12 weeks together, there will be ~2.5 hours of live programming per week. And we also recommend setting aside 2+ hours a week to make the changes to your business in real time.

In total, to make the most of the program, we recommend a total of 5-10 hours a week between learning and implementing.

And also, everything is recorded so it’s up to you!

  • Our next cohort starts January 29th.

After that, the community will be closed for a few months as we integrate and support our new members.

  • We believe in being very scrappy, and finding growth strategies that fit into your business model. It’s possible to spend little to no money by using free tools, and templates and doing the work yourself.

  • Everything is recorded and annotated and you do not need to be present live to have your questions answered. Though there’s a bit of magic in attending live, you may choose to watch the recordings later at double speed. (I’m a slow talker 🐢)

  • Our community is specifically for those who have already taken major steps in their business and are committed to growing it into a sustainable business in the next year. If you’re pre-launch or still exploring, check out Community Launch Roadmap.

  • Your success with the course and community experience will depend on your commitment. If this resonates with you and you put in the work, we firmly believe you'll achieve the results you're looking for.

That being said, sometimes things aren't what we expect!

You have 4 weeks to try out the content, coaching and community. If you find that it's not for you within that time, email us and we'll refund you, no questions asked.
